Custom Ethnic & Folk Apparel for the India and Pakistan Market — Oxford with Shirring
We supply ethnic & folk apparel to South Asian buyers built for mild North Indian and Pakistani winters. Cloth weight, weave openness and colour fastness are specified for heat, humidity and repeated hand washing first: Oxford at 160-200 gsm, shade-matched to hold under strong sun and monsoon humidity. Programmes start at 150 pieces per style per colour and ship to Mumbai or Karachi.
The failures here are predictable: inconsistent sizing between production runs, and long lead times that miss the selling season. We lock the specification before bulk — weight, shrinkage, stitch density and tolerance — and prepare BIS so containers clear instead of accruing demurrage during the wedding season from November to February.

Import, duty and delivery
BIS or PSQCA documentation per final destination is arranged before the goods leave the factory. We ship to Mumbai or Karachi with the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, and quote landed cost so duty and GST or sales tax are visible before you commit. Reorders draw on the approved specification held on file — which matters when you are buying against the wedding season from November to February.
FAQ
Do you provide compliance documents?
We can arrange OEKO-TEX, GOTS, BSCI, WRAP and ISO documentation as well as third-party testing reports for BIS IS 15741 textile labelling, and we support REACH, CPSIA and Prop 65 declarations for the relevant markets.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Standard programmes start at 150 pieces per style and colour. We can split sizes across a size set, and for first orders we often accept a mixed-colour run to help you test the market.
What file formats do you need for artwork?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best print and embroidery results. For raster artwork please supply at least 300 dpi at the final print size. We digitise embroidery files in-house and return a sew-out photo for approval.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.
