Custom Traditional Chinese Ethnic & Folk Apparel — Jacquard with Couched Gold Thread Embroidery
We make traditional Chinese ethnic & folk apparel built as tang jacket with bound edges, cut in Jacquard and decorated with magpie on plum branch motifs using Couched Gold Thread Embroidery. Heritage construction is the part buyers care about: collar height, closing direction, pleat count and bound edge width are set in the tech pack and confirmed on a sample before bulk. Programmes start at 200 pieces per style per colour and ship to Hong Kong or Kaohsiung.
The failures here are predictable: unclear responsibility when a defect shows up after washing, and minimum order quantities far above what a growing brand can absorb. We lock the specification before bulk — fabric, trim, embroidery density, dye lot and tolerance — and prepare the GB documentation so goods clear instead of sitting at port while the Chinese wedding season around May Day and National Day passes.

Import, labelling and delivery
GB 18401 or the destination's labelling rules as required is arranged before the goods leave the factory. We ship to Hong Kong or Kaohsiung with the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, and apply Chinese-language care and fibre labelling where the destination requires it. Reorders draw on the approved specification held on file — which matters when you are buying against the Chinese wedding season around May Day and National Day.
FAQ
What file formats do you need for artwork?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best print and embroidery results. For raster artwork please supply at least 300 dpi at the final print size. We digitise embroidery files in-house and return a sew-out photo for approval.
Do you provide compliance documents?
We can arrange OEKO-TEX, GOTS, BSCI, WRAP and ISO documentation as well as third-party testing reports for GB 31701 for infants' textile products, and we support REACH, CPSIA and Prop 65 declarations for the relevant markets.
How long does sampling take?
A first prototype is typically ready in 10 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 5 days each.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.
