Custom Ethnic & Folk Apparel for the Middle Eastern Market — French Linen with Smocking
We supply ethnic & folk apparel to middle eastern buyers built for Gulf summers above 45 °C with dry heat. Cloth weight, weave openness and colour fastness are specified for the climate first: French Linen at 120-150 gsm, shade-matched to hold through the Umrah travel season running year round. Programmes start at 500 pieces per style per colour and ship to Hamad Port.
The failures here are predictable: minimum order quantities far above what a growing brand can absorb, and inconsistent sizing between production runs. We lock the specification before bulk — weight, shrinkage, stitch density and tolerance — and prepare the conformity documents for Qatar so containers clear instead of accruing demurrage while the Umrah travel season running year round passes.

Import, duty and delivery
Egyptian GOEIC registration for textile imports is arranged before the goods leave the factory. We ship to Hamad Port with the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Coverage, opacity and drape are fixed before cloth is chosen, so the garment breathes in extreme heat while staying opaque in strong light. Arabic labelling and the SABER certificate are prepared before the container sails.
FAQ
How long does sampling take?
A first prototype is typically ready in 14 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 3 days each.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Standard programmes start at 500 pieces per style and colour. We can split sizes across a size set, and for first orders we often accept a mixed-colour run to help you test the market.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.
Do you provide compliance documents?
We can arrange OEKO-TEX, GOTS, BSCI, WRAP and ISO documentation as well as third-party testing reports for SABER shipment certificate of conformity, and we support REACH, CPSIA and Prop 65 declarations for the relevant markets.
