Custom Ethnic & Folk Apparel for the Asia-Pacific Islands Market — Recycled Polyester (rPET) with Batik-Style Wax Resist
We supply ethnic & folk apparel to island-market buyers built for typhoon season with salt-laden air. Cloth weight, openness of weave and colour fastness are specified for heat, humidity and salt air first: Recycled Polyester (rPET) at 220-250 gsm, shade-matched to hold up under strong UV, chlorinated water and frequent laundering. Programmes start at 100 pieces per style per colour and ship to Suva or Port Moresby.
The failure modes in this region are consistent: long lead times that miss the selling season, and color drift between lab dips and bulk fabric. We lock the specification before bulk — weight, shrinkage, stitch density and tolerance — and prepare the documents Pacific requires, so containers clear instead of accruing demurrage at the port.

Import, duty and delivery
Pacific island customs valuation and COC is arranged before the goods leave the factory. We ship LCL or FCL to Suva or Port Moresby, provide the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, and quote landed cost so duty and GST are visible before you commit. Reorders draw on the approved specification held on file, which matters for resort programmes that reorder every season.
FAQ
What file formats do you need for artwork?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best print and embroidery results. For raster artwork please supply at least 300 dpi at the final print size. We digitise embroidery files in-house and return a sew-out photo for approval.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.
How is shipping handled?
We quote EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP. Consolidated sea freight is the default for bulk programmes, with air or express options when a launch date is at risk.
How long does sampling take?
A first prototype is typically ready in 10 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 3 days each.
