Custom Ethnic & Folk Apparel for the Asia-Pacific Islands Market — Slub Cotton with Yarn Dyeing
We supply ethnic & folk apparel to island-market buyers built for strong equatorial UV most of the year. Cloth weight, openness of weave and colour fastness are specified for heat, humidity and salt air first: Slub Cotton at 140-170 gsm, shade-matched to hold up under strong UV, chlorinated water and frequent laundering. Programmes start at 300 pieces per style per colour and ship to Yokohama or Kaohsiung.
The failure modes in this region are consistent: unclear responsibility when a defect shows up after washing, and color drift between lab dips and bulk fabric. We lock the specification before bulk — weight, shrinkage, stitch density and tolerance — and prepare the documents JIS requires, so containers clear instead of accruing demurrage at the port.

Import, duty and delivery
JIS and Japanese household goods labelling is arranged before the goods leave the factory. We ship LCL or FCL to Yokohama or Kaohsiung, provide the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin, and quote landed cost so duty and GST are visible before you commit. Reorders draw on the approved specification held on file, which matters for resort programmes that reorder every season.
FAQ
How long does sampling take?
A first prototype is typically ready in 10 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 5 days each.
Can you match a specific colour?
Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.
How is shipping handled?
We quote EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP. Consolidated sea freight is the default for bulk programmes, with air or express options when a launch date is at risk.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Standard programmes start at 300 pieces per style and colour. We can split sizes across a size set, and for first orders we often accept a mixed-colour run to help you test the market.
