Custom Ethnic & Folk Apparel for the European Market — Poplin with Yarn Dyeing

We supply ethnic & folk apparel to European buyers built for long Nordic winters and short summers. Cloth weight, fibre composition and finish are specified for the season and the standard before price: Poplin at 220-260 gsm, with restricted-substance screening and documentation prepared for the destination market. Programmes start at 100 pieces per style per colour and ship to Genoa or Valencia.

European programmes fail on paperwork more often than on product: long lead times that miss the selling season, and no reliable way to track a order once it enters production. We fix the specification first — fabric weight, shrinkage, stitch density and measurement tolerance — then prepare EU GPSR with labelling in the destination language so the goods clear customs and pass buyer audit without a second round of testing.

How we produce it

  1. Tech pack review and fabric confirmation for long Nordic winters and short summers
  2. Restricted-substance screening against REACH, then lab dips for approval
  3. Poplin-spec prototype graded to EU 34-52
  4. Fit sample and wearer test, then a pre-production sample
  5. Bulk cutting with yarn dyeing applied under controlled settings
  6. In-line inspection, final AQL 2.5 inspection and packing to EU carton specification

Sustainability and documentation

European buyers are asked for evidence, not assurances. We can supply OEKO-TEX Standard 100 documentation, recycled-content claims with transaction certificates where the fibre qualifies, and test reports from accredited labs. Fibre composition, care symbols and country of origin are printed in the languages your market requires, and the technical file is held for reorders.

Delivery, duty and VAT

Shipments move to Genoa or Valencia under EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP. For EU and UK destinations we quote landed cost including duty and import VAT, and provide the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin needed for clearance. Reorders draw on the approved specification held on file, which keeps ethnic & folk apparel batches consistent across seasons.

FAQ

How long does sampling take?

A first prototype is typically ready in 10 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 5 days each.

Can you match a specific colour?

Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.

What file formats do you need for artwork?

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best print and embroidery results. For raster artwork please supply at least 300 dpi at the final print size. We digitise embroidery files in-house and return a sew-out photo for approval.

Do you provide compliance documents?

We can arrange OEKO-TEX, GOTS, BSCI, WRAP and ISO documentation as well as third-party testing reports for OEKO-TEX Standard 100, and we support REACH, CPSIA and Prop 65 declarations for the relevant markets.
