Custom Sock & Stocking for the European Market — Cotton-Poly Blend with Ultrasonic Welding
We supply sock & stocking to European buyers built for temperate maritime winters with frequent rain. Cloth weight, fibre composition and finish are specified for the season and the standard before price: Cotton-Poly Blend at 280-320 gsm, with restricted-substance screening and documentation prepared for the destination market. Programmes start at 150 pieces per style per colour and ship to Felixstowe or Dublin.
European programmes fail on paperwork more often than on product: color drift between lab dips and bulk fabric, and inconsistent sizing between production runs. We fix the specification first — fabric weight, shrinkage, stitch density and measurement tolerance — then prepare UKCA marking and UK REACH registration so the goods clear customs and pass buyer audit without a second round of testing.

How we produce it
- Tech pack review and fabric confirmation for temperate maritime winters with frequent rain
- Restricted-substance screening against REACH, then lab dips for approval
- Cotton-Poly Blend-spec prototype graded to EU kids 92-176
- Fit sample and wearer test, then a pre-production sample
- Bulk cutting with ultrasonic welding applied under controlled settings
- In-line inspection, final AQL 2.5 inspection and packing to EU carton specification
Sustainability and documentation
European buyers are asked for evidence, not assurances. We can supply REACH SVHC screening documentation, recycled-content claims with transaction certificates where the fibre qualifies, and test reports from accredited labs. Fibre composition, care symbols and country of origin are printed in the languages your market requires, and the technical file is held for reorders.

Delivery, duty and VAT
Shipments move to Felixstowe or Dublin under EXW, FOB, CIF or DDP. For EU and UK destinations we quote landed cost including duty and import VAT, and provide the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin needed for clearance. Reorders draw on the approved specification held on file, which keeps sock & stocking batches consistent across seasons.
FAQ
How is shipping handled?
We quote EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP. Consolidated sea freight is the default for bulk programmes, with air or express options when a launch date is at risk.
How long does sampling take?
A first prototype is typically ready in 10 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 3 days each.
What is the minimum order quantity?
Standard programmes start at 150 pieces per style and colour. We can split sizes across a size set, and for first orders we often accept a mixed-colour run to help you test the market.
What file formats do you need for artwork?
Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best print and embroidery results. For raster artwork please supply at least 300 dpi at the final print size. We digitise embroidery files in-house and return a sew-out photo for approval.
