Custom Ethnic & Folk Apparel for the Latin American Market — Gabardine with Ruching

We supply ethnic & folk apparel to latin american buyers built for Mexican highland mild days. Cloth weight, weave openness and colour fastness are specified for the climate first: Gabardine at 120-150 gsm, shade-matched to hold through the resort and beachwear season. Programmes start at 300 pieces per style per colour and ship to Buenos Aires.

The failures here are predictable: suppliers who disappear once the deposit is paid, and unclear responsibility when a defect shows up after washing. We lock the specification before bulk — weight, shrinkage, stitch density and tolerance — and prepare the conformity documents for Argentina so containers clear instead of accruing demurrage while the resort and beachwear season passes.

Import, duty and delivery

INMETRO conformity for the Brazilian market is arranged before the goods leave the factory. We ship to Buenos Aires with the commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin. Import duty and tax in the region are high — landed cost including the NCM tariff line is quoted before you commit, and instalment-friendly production schedules are planned around retail cash flow.

FAQ

How is shipping handled?

We quote EXW, FOB, CIF and DDP. Consolidated sea freight is the default for bulk programmes, with air or express options when a launch date is at risk.

How long does sampling take?

A first prototype is typically ready in 12 working days after the tech pack is confirmed, including fabric sourcing if the base cloth is not in our stock library. Revisions add about 3 days each.

What file formats do you need for artwork?

Vector files (AI, EPS, PDF) give the best print and embroidery results. For raster artwork please supply at least 300 dpi at the final print size. We digitise embroidery files in-house and return a sew-out photo for approval.

Can you match a specific colour?

Yes. Send us a Pantone TCX reference or a physical swatch. We return lab dips for approval and hold bulk shade within the agreed tolerance band before cutting.
